The Adventure began April 2022
Nick and Alison Boxall – on Eternity Leave after a combined 94 years of work – embark upon the greatest adventure - Sailing our Southerly 110 wherever and whenever we can for as long as we can.
Our initial cruise as retirees was to take our Southerly 110 – Whimbrel – to The Baltic and enjoy an uninterrupted 5-6 months cruising the various countries of the Baltic region. However, various events put paid to that idea so we decided to make a 2 – 3 year circumnavigation of the British Isles, taking in the beautiful islands and coastlines of the UK, taking our time to enjoy passage making visits to new places, long walks, picnics, local foods and of course sampling as many of the local beers as we could!
One of the greatest pleasures we have identified is that Retirement Cruising comes with no fixed plans or deadlines and gives us time to appreciate the history, geology and flora and fauna of the places we visit.

disappointed by the things you didn't do than
those you did. So throw off the bowlines,
Sail away from safe harbour, catch the wind in your sails.
